Clinton hospitalized with chest pains

NEW YORK Former President Bill Clinton checked himself into a New York City hospital today after suffering chest pains, a Democratic Party official and a police source said.

Clinton canceled a two-day joint trip with his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, across upstate New York because of medical issues.

Clinton was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia in Manhattan, said the police source, speaking to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
