CTED morphing into Department of Commerce

Today, Gov. Chris Gregoire is christening one of the largest state agencies with a new name and a new mission.

The Community, Trade and Economic Development Commission, or CTED in Olympiaspeak, will become the Department of Commerce. The governor will attend a little ceremony for employees this morning while the changeover becomes official Sunday.
