Detectives investigate homicide at gas station near Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives were investigating a homicide Sunday morning.

A male suspect reportedly entered a gas station store at 148th Street SW and Highway 99, where he shot and killed an employee around 5:40 a.m. during what detectives believe was an attempted robbery, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect left but was captured on surveillance video. Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call 911.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim and determine the cause and manner of death.
