EVERETT — The man killed Sunday in a domestic dispute turned double shooting in south Everett has been identified.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office also identified the alleged shooter, who later shot and killed himself after a pursuit on I-5. Both men were 18.
Around 1:05 p.m., Elicio Paco Sanorico Bocanegra shot and killed Kevin Rodriguez Arcinas, of Auburn, at the Park View Apartments at 1126 W Casino Road, according to the Everett Police Department. Sanorico Bocanegra also shot a woman, who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Sanorico Bocanegra drove away, according to police. Officers started pursuing him near 19th Avenue SE and El Capitan Way. They followed him onto I-5 north.
After a short pursuit, he crashed on I-5, north of Highway 526, police said. Shortly after, officers reportedly heard gunshots from inside Sanorico Bocanegra’s car. They approached and found the man dead.
The incident closed I-5 north for hours.
The medical examiner’s office determined Sanorico Bocanegra’s death was suicide and Rodriguez Arcinas’ death was homicide.
