EVERETT — Three Everett police officers were promoted in rank at a special ceremony Tuesday afternoon at the police department.
Officer Karen White was promoted to sergeant, Sgt. John DeRousse was promoted to lieutenant, and Lt. David Fudge was promoted to captain.
White has been a police officer in Everett for 16 years, Sgt. Robert Goetz said. She has worked in patrol, special investigations and the marine unit. She now will be supervising a patrol squad.
DeRousse has been a police officer in Everett for 12 years. He has worked in patrol, the canine unit and administrative services, Goetz said. His next assignment has not been determined.
Fudge has been a police officer in Everett for 23 years. He has worked in practically every division of the department, Goetz said. He will manage the operations division in south Everett.
