EVERETT — The public is invited to the screening of a documentary film and a community talk about bullying set for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.
The event is free.
The screening is part of the Kind Campaign, a nationwide tour by the film’s creators aimed at changing relationships.
The documentary, “Finding Kind,” was created by Lauren Parsekian and Molly Stroud, who met at Pepperdine University and then traveled the country interviewing girls and women about their experiences.
In addition, the filmmakers interviewed experts in psychology and education.
They’ve shown the film to more than 300 schools and organizations, including high school and middle school audiences in the Everett School District.
Friday, the filmmakers will be on hand to lead a discussion after the film. Other special guests include Kim Hopen, Mrs. Washington Plus America, and Raven Hopen, the state’s All American Girl Teen.
