LYNNWOOD — A pedestrian died after being hit by a pickup truck at Highway 99 and 200th Street SW at about 7 p.m. Friday.
Lynnwood police said the pedestrian, described as a juvenile male, was trying to run across Highway 99 when he was struck by the truck in a northbound lane, according to witnesses.
Witnesses told police the driver of the Ford F-150 had a green light.
The driver stayed at scene and was cooperating with the investigation, police said. His spouse and child also were in the truck. None of the occupants in the truck was injured.
The identity of the pedestrian was not released.
This is the second pedestrian death in Lynnwood this week. Last Sunday, Shirley E. Tinsley, 72, died after she was hit by a vehicle in the 5000 block of 196th Street SW at about 11 p.m. A person she was walking with was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The driver cooperated in that investigation, too, police said.
