EVERETT — A Snohomish County sheriff’s office deputy arrested a man on suspicion of 18 charges Friday after fleeing law enforcement in a stolen vehicle.
A police pursuit resulted in damage to several cars and a K-9 track through Lynnwood on Friday.
Around 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 5, the deputy located a stolen F-350 driving southbound on I-5, a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office social media post said. The 36-year-old man behind the wheel was wanted on multiple charges, including possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, four counts of identity theft, six counts of theft and attempting to elude a police vehicle.
The deputy attempted a traffic stop near 112th Street, but the driver took off. The suspect exited at 164th Street and sideswiped several cars before running a red light, driving into oncoming traffic and crashing into two vehicles at 14th Place West and 164th Street Southwest, the post said.
After the crash, the driver and a female passenger fled the scene on foot, the post said. The deputy and a K-9 unit chased the suspect through a parking lot, down the street and into the parking lot of Bowlero in Lynnwood, where the K-9 was able to apprehend the suspect.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of the previous charges and new charges for eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, hit-and-run, and resisting arrest.
