Marysville woman identified after being found in car trunk

MARYSVILLE — A Marysville woman who was found dead at her home last week was Laura Granum, 62, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed.
An autopsy showed she died of blunt-force trauma. Her death has been classified as a homicide. Her body was found in a car trunk.
Her son, Nathan Granum, 28, has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder.
He reportedly has paranoid schizophrenia. He lived at the home on 48th Avenue NE with his mother and brother.
He’s being held in the Snohomish County Jail. His bail has been set at $1 million.
