EVERETT — A 46-year-old man is dead following a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle in Lynnwood on Tuesday.
At approximately 11:14 p.m. Tuesday, Collision Investigation Unit detectives from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision near the 12300 block of Beverly Park Road.
A Jeep was making a left turn onto Beverly Park Road from a parking lot when it pulled into the path of a speeding motorcycle, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. The motorcycle struck the left front of the Jeep. When deputies arrived, they found the motorcycle rider deceased at the scene, the press release said.
The crash remains under investigation by CIU detectives. Excessive speed on the part of the motorcycle may have been a contributing factor, the press release said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will make a positive identification of the deceased male, as well as determine the cause and manner of death.
