SNOHOMISH — A motorcyclist had more than eight times the legal limit of THC in his blood when he died in a crash earlier this year, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
Craig T. Elliott, 33, struck a vehicle in front of him when he tried to pass it July 23 on Springhetti Road south of Snohomish, according to the sheriff’s office. An autopsy showed he had multiple injuries that proved fatal.
Months later, an analysis by a state crime lab showed his blood sample had 44 nanograms of THC per ml of blood. The legal limit is 5, under Washington state law.
THC is the active ingredient in marijuana.
