EVERETT — As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force conducted four search warrants for units within the Mt. View Apartments in Lynnwood.
On Sept. 17, officers served the first warrant after beginning the investigation earlier that month when investigators learned a 29-year-old man was selling methamphetamine and fentanyl from his apartment, according to a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office press release. Investigators developed probable cause for the arrest on charges of delivering a controlled substance and got a search warrant approved. The same day, the officers arrested the suspect off-site and booked him into Snohomish County Jail, where he remains.
During the search, detectives seized 4.8 grams of methamphetamine, 19.5 grams of fentanyl powder, 6.3 grams of fentanyl pills, a loaded 9mm pistol, and drug-packaging and trafficking materials, the release said.
In October, Investigators learned a second unit in the same complex was allegedly selling drugs, the release said. While conducting surveillance in preparation for serving a warrant, detectives observed a male suspect allegedly openly carrying a rifle in the parking lot. They also observed multiple short-stay visits among several apartments, which the release said strengthened concerns of additional units involved with drug trafficking.
While detectives developed probable cause that drugs were allegedly being sold from two additional units, the original warrant service was delayed, the release said. Snohomish County Superior Court then granted search warrants for all three apartments.
On Wednesday, investigators carried out a multi-location warrant operation with assistance from Region 1 SWAT and North Sound Metro SWAT, the release said. Officers located 21 individuals inside the apartments and arrested 14 of them. Snohomish County Animal Control took custody of one dog and transported the animal to the Everett Animal Shelter.
