Officials say Marysville Value Village fire was arson

MARYSVILLE — A Sunday morning fire at a Value Village in Marysville has been ruled an arson, according to fire officials.

The fire started inside a semitruck that was attached to Value Village in the 1300 block of State Avenue, said Christie Veley, a spokeswoman with the Marysville Fire District. Flames spread inside the building, causing $500,000 in damage, according to the Snohomish County fire marshal.

Marysville police are investigating.
