WALLA WALLA. — A skull and other human bones found by hunters last weekend near Wallula Junction in Walla Walla County are believed to be more than 10 years old.

Fish and Wildlife archaeologist Dale Earl tells KEPR the bones could be hundreds of years old. It could take several weeks to determine the age.

He’s in contact with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation who could receive the bones if they are determined to be Native American.
