OLYMPIA — Police have told a Christian group to stop feeding the homeless in Olympia.
Police told Crazy Faith Ministries last week that it can no longer feed hundreds of people on Thursdays and Saturday out of a city parking lot across from the Olympia Transit Center.
The Olympian reported nearby businesses complained and police said it blocked traffic and parking and was a food and public safety problem.
Food program founder Ben Charles says he’s bringing a group to Tuesday’s city council meeting to address the issue.
