Foot care clinic offered to seniors
A foot care clinic for seniors will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. every other Tuesday at Cascade Valley Hospital’s Wound Care Center, 875 Wesley St., Suite 210. The cost is $10 a person; registration is required. For details, call 360-435-8158.

Town talent show seeks performers
The Darrington Clinic Guild’s annual talent show is coming up in March, and organizers are looking for performers.
The show will be at 7 p.m. March 24 at the Darrington High School Performing Arts Center, 1065 First St. Proceeds will benefit the N.C. Riddle Scholarship Fund in Darrington.

Science camp to hold reunion
Graduates of the IDEAS summer science camp sponsored by Everett Community College, the YMCA of Snohomish County and Henry Cogswell College, are invited to a reunion at 5:30 p.m. today at the Jackson Center at EvCC, 2000 Tower St.
IDEAS students and their families can learn about college planning at the event.
IDEAS brings minority and disadvantaged students to the colleges during the summer to conduct science experiments. The students are encouraged to go on to science or engineering programs in college.

Charter review panel to convene
Everett’s Charter Review Commission, a task force charged with reviewing the city charter every 10 years, will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in City Council chambers, 3002 Wetmore Ave.
The committee will appoint a 15th member, as outlined in the charter, at the meeting. The committee will conduct at least two public hearings, take comments and present recommendations to the City Council by June 1. The final recommendations will go to voters in the fall.

Legion honors two fallen vets
American Legion Post 181 will honor two veterans who recently died with a flag-lowering ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday at the flag pavilion in the 1800 block of Main Street.
John Edward Moss, a former U.S. Marine, and John Edward “Jack” Scofield, who served in the U.S. Army, will be honored. Moss and Scofield were graduates of Lake Stevens High School.

Downed branches will be picked up
Last weekend’s storm left tree branches scattered all over, more than some residents can handle.
City residents can get rid of tee branches brought down by last weekend’s big windstorm on their regularly scheduled trash pickup day the week of Feb. 21-24.
The city is asking residents to bundle the branches and place them next to their garbage and recycling carts. Other debris or yard waste will not be taken.

Parks foundation to elect board
The Snohomish Parks Foundation will nominate and elect board members at a committee meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Snohomish Public Library, 311 Maple Ave.
Snohomish County
Program gives parents a break
Parents can get a break from their kids Feb. 17 with a new Snohomish County Parks Department program called Parents Night Out.
Drop children off at Willis D. Tucker Community Park at 6 p.m., and the county will provide dinner and an ice skating trips. The kids will return by 10 p.m. The cost is $20. The park is at 6705 Puget Park Drive in Snohomish.

Flutist will give concert at center
The Stanwood Area Historical Society presents flutist Jeffrey Cohan and friends at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27112 102nd Ave. NW.
Performing with Cohan in the “Celestial Harmonies” concert will be violinist and Stanwood High School graduate SvendRonning and harpsichordist George Shangrow.
The concert is the latest in a series.
