LAKE GOODWIN — A woman was missing at Lake Ki after a search Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office sent its marine unit to look for her after she went missing while floating on the lake in an inflatable device. Some of her belongings and the inflatable were found, but she was not.
With temperatures in the 80s and venturing toward 90 degrees this week, a heat advisory was issued. The weather also draws people to cool down in lakes, rivers, streams and Puget Sound. The American Red Cross recommends wearing a life jacket and using the buddy system to keep track of people when in and near the water.
Our Marine Unit returns to Lake Ki today to continue searching for an adult female who went missing last night while floating the lake on an inflatable. The float and some of her personal belongings were located.
