EVERETT — A shooting in Everett Thursday night sent one man to the hospital and another into hiding.
The incident was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Jefferson Avenue.
The injured man, believed to be in his early 20s, suffered gunshot wounds to the hand and leg, Everett Police Sgt. Maryjane Hacker said. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect, also believed to be in his early 20s, drove off before police arrived. Attempts to find him were unsuccessful Thursday night. He is being sought for first-degree assault, Hacker said.
Police were told the fight involving multiple people broke out in the driveway in front of a home. That led to the shooting.
“We really don’t know at this point what the fight was about,” Hacker said.
