Everett administrator leads national group: Gay Campbell, director of communications for Everett Public Schools, recently started duties as president of the 2,000-member National School Public Relations Association.

Campbell will serve a one-year term in addition to her duties in Everett. Campbell is author of several publications, including “Win at the Polls” and a communications training kit for administrators, and gives workshops throughout the country.

She was the 2003 recipient of the President’s Award, the highest award NSPRA gives to one of its members, has received the Learning and Liberty Award from the Washington School Public Relations Association, nine NSPRA Gold Medallions for outstanding public relations programs, and has been given the highest award of her district’s PTA council for her leadership in working with parents.
