Suspect in custody after man’s gunshot death, standoff

SNOHOMISH — A man died after a gunshot wound Sunday morning near Snohomish.
A domestic violence call around 11:30 a.m. drew Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies to the 6500 block of 57th Avenue SE, west of Snohomish. Deputies found the victim, a man in his late 50s, had been shot.
The suspect, 30, barricaded himself on the property, prompting a SWAT unit response before he surrendered in the afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim died after he was taken from the scene.
The suspect and victim knew each other, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives were investigating the shooting.
