EVERETT — Police reopened Lighthouse Park Tuesday morning after a coconut “bomb” was found in the area.
Around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a coconut that appeared to have a drilled hole, a fuse and black powder inside at 609 Front Street in Mukilteo. Officers cleared and temporarily closed the park and boat launch, according to a Mukilteo Police Department social media post.
The Washington State Patrol and King County Bomb Squad confirmed the device was not an explosive, the post said.
