A year later, fine still isn’t enough

I have to respond to the slight fine given to the man who killed my son and grandson and daughter-in-law (May 27 news article “Ticket for fatal crash frustrates family”). I have kept my mouth shut for a year and can no longer do it. While I don’t wish the man and his wife to lose their home, I do feel my children are worth more than $538.
You see, my grandchildren lost their parents and brother. I lost my son, grandson, and daughter-in-law. To me they are worth more than that. Seems other people get charged with involuntary manslaughter or something. Clearly this man was at fault – the police already ruled that. Why wasn’t he charged? This man just got a slap on the wrist. Our entire family lost. I pray we can all go on and we try to put it in God’s hands. That’s the only way we can continue.
