Band together to oppose strip club

Mukilteo does not need a strip club. Neither does Everett, and both communities are at risk of having another one, 2 miles from our local “Y” and just up the street from a school. It’s an understatement to say it’s a business not usually known for bringing good things into a community; and Mukilteo residents, it’s your fault!
A local business owner of The Pointe After Casino on the Mukilteo Speedway, in unincorporated Snohomish County, feels he has no other choice but to open up one since he has tried every type of food or game or entertainment without success and support from local residents. In an interview with My Everett News.com he stated he has to bring in “adult entertainment” as the card room, bar and casino were not profitable enough.
Really? Are you kidding me? Instead of blaming us, his neighbors, maybe he should visit other thriving local businesses and restaurants to see how they are managing to survive without asking us to support one that brings chaos and crime to our community.
Please voice your opposition to the licensing of The Black Pearl. Write to the County License Division, Snohomish County Auditor, 3000 Rockefeller M/S 306, Everett, WA 98201, with your grounds or facts regarding the denial.
