City can’t consider closing 41st bridge

I am writing this out of confusion. How can the City Council of Everett even consider closing the 41st Street bridge?

Don’t they know or don’t they care about the traffic mess it would create in Everett? It is insane to even think of it. Is the construction company thinking about any bonus money they would get by completing this sooner? Could it be actually about money? I realize the council generally listens to businesses and not to the taxpayer, but think of the mess this will create.
