Dear Republicans, I understand your conundrum. I know you feel you must follow President Trump and Musk and vote for his dangerous agenda. If you do not, you may lose your job, a position you have worked so hard to achieve.
However, now things are very different. Our fragile ship is heading for a wreck. Our captain doesn’t care. You, are in the position to steady the ship. Do not be afraid to stand up Trump.
It is clear that many of you are sane and have not drunk the MAGA Kool-Aid. In private you express your concerns. However, in public you walk the line.
I would think that you would have at the least resisted the confirmation of those of gross incompetence. What would happen if instead, you voted as though this was your last time in Congress. I suspect with this freedom you would vote values and conscience and do what is right. Yes, there is the risk of loosing your seat.
Even if you did lose, I would venture that you would feel better, liberated from bending the knee to this man. Are you not at least ashamed of offering subservience to this dictator in the making.
So please, dear Republicans, straighten you backs. Honor your values and follow your conscience. Slow down this oncoming shipwreck and help turn things around. It would only take just a few of you.
Do not forget what happened in Germany in 1933. The difference between then and now, is that many who stood up to Hitler lost their lives. So far, that is not the case in America. So, Congress, summon the courage to speak your minds and vote your conscience.
