Don’t harass family during time of grief

As a friend of the Frohning family, I’m writing to you regarding the articles written and photo used in reference to Dan Frohning’s tragic death.
The family specifically chose the photo they did to represent their son Danny’s love for hunting. Regardless of personal opinions of hunting and/or animal rights, this family should have the right to remember their son however they see fit.
The letter to the editor last week was written respectfully, at least, but since then the family has received hate mail regarding animal rights. My point is this: Their son has died and did so doing what he loved. Regardless of your own beliefs or opinions regarding hunting, for crying out loud don’t disturb this family even more during this time of grief with opinions regarding animals’ rights to life. Hunting is legal. Danny loved hunting. Keep your opinions to yourself during a time like this.
