Hospital, firefighters allayed concerns after carbon monoxide alarm

A loud shout-out to the emergency room personnel at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett during my visit and treatment. It was a relatively short wait to be seen, then quickly the doctor’s visit and the ever-popular blood draw. All resulting in a negative diagnosis and quick discharge. You are all to be commended for your humane treatment of patients in the emergency department. Thank You.

A second loud shout-out to the firefighters at Engine Station No. 1 on Rucker Avenue. You were all more than accommodating with my walking up to you at the fire hall with a question and then arriving at my home to test for a suspected carbon monoxide leak. All three of you, with smiles on your faces, were more than gracious and supportive in performing the meter reading and assuring me as to the negative reading, as apparently the device I’d installed was defective. You all rock. Thank you.

Of course, having a ‘65 Mustang in the carport for your perusal didn’t hurt.

Again, thank you all for an interesting Saturday morning and reaffirming my belief in the kindness of the human spirit.

May you all remain safe, healthy and able to enjoy this Holiday Season.
