Kudos to airline for taking action

Way to go, Alaska Airlines!
Several years ago I was trapped on a red-eye flight between Dallas-Fort Worth and Buenos Aires — trapped because of a child around 18 months old who screamed for the greater part of that flight. The mom held the child and walked up and down the aisles until the child quieted down. Then, she put the kid down and the screaming began again. This went on for the entire flight. At some point you would think the mother would realize that so long as she held that noise machine, all would be quiet. She didn’t connect the dots. It was a miserable flight.
And yes, when I see any youngster get on any flight I’m on, I do groan and wish the parents had left the kid(s) with grandma. The parents on the Alaska Airlines flight should have left the kids at home with grandma instead of taking grandma with them. I would guess grandma was going along to babysit once they got to their destination. Cheaper to leave grandma and the kids at home and let the parents have some kid-less time. And better for everyone on the flight.
So, I, too, will think Alaska Airlines the next time I travel.
