Media won’t let us listen to speeches

The national television media (cable and broadcast) have done it again. Although endless hours have been devoted to election coverage, I’ve had to switch to C-Span or YouTube to hear two of the best speeches of the convention — those by Rep. Dennis Kucinich and Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer.
With the challenges our country faces, why should we be forced to listen to overbearing pundits when we can actually listen to the speakers do their thing? I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to learn that Fox News only carried two minutes of the Democratic keynote address. “Fair and Balanced” or Republican news outlet?
The whole idea is for the public to hear what the parties are for and against. We’re smart enough to know that party conventions are biased and are capable of listening and making up our own minds without having multi-millionaire pundits push their agendas. Thank goodness for C-Span and YouTube.
