No Sunday service hurts churchgoers

Regarding Community Transit’s proposed service changes starting June 2010:
I would like to call attention to the fact that CT spent many dollars purchasing Swift buses and building Swift stations. I don’t recall the public voting on that and now they are wanting to cut service — part of which is eliminating service on Sundays and holidays. (This will have a negative effect on Sunday workers — and seniors like myself going to church, stores and functions.)
This proposal is not making Community Transit rider or community friendly.
I do understand the need to increase fares, but also know that there are a lot of people looking for work and Social Security did not give a 2010 raise to seniors.
Please note a 25 cent raise in fares is 50 percent.
I am hoping others voice their opinion.
