Officials should Skype, not travel

Regarding the Monday article, “County officials defend the value of planned travel”: Laughable! Politicians’ efforts to justify trips to exotic locations are surely that. There are now so many less expensive ways to interact with peers. Ever heard of teleconferencing? Please … not on the public dole! The rest of us do without so you can play.
