Surprised? Look at how we live

America’s children obese? No mystery there. We live in a society where overconsumption and living large are encouraged – gas guzzling, road clogging SUVs; wilderness gobbling developments where families with two or less children live in five-bedroom, three-car garage mega-houses; single-plate food portions that could feed a whole family; ocean liners and amusement parks larger than some cities; and high-decibel roaring “desecration” vehicles on the water, the snow, and the wilderness trails.

We don’t have to wait for someone else to come from abroad to blow us up. We’ll probably just explode from our own excess!
