As a voter in the area covered by the Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue district, I want to thank the voters in our area for the renewal of Fire Prop 1 on the November ballot. We are fortunate to have a world-class fire service.
In Lake Stevens, Monroe, Maltby, Clearview and unincorporated Snohomish County, the Snohomish Regional Fires and Rescue became the first accredited agency in Snohomish County by the Commission of Fire Accreditation International which is the highest level of achievement possible for a fire service. In fact, to my knowledge, there are only seven or eight other fire service agencies in Washington state that have been accredited. I want to thank the professional men and women who work for the Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue, its leaders and the commissioners for providing us with a first-class organization who protect us each and every day.
