I read with horror the article about the poor woman who was killed by a driver fleeing law enforcement (“Lynnwood woman, 83, killed in wrong-way crash following police pursuit,” The Herald, April 12).
I would presume to thank the state Legislature for passing legislation this last session, giving law enforcement back its authority to restart high speed pursuits of suspected individuals; not!
