AquaSox blasted by Dust Devils

EVERETT — The Tri-City Dust Devils pounded out 22 hits, including 10 extra-base hits, on their way to an 18-2 drubbing of the Everett AquaSox on Sunday at Funko Field.

Ten different Dust Devils (8-6) checked in with at least one base hit and nine had multi-hit games as Tri-City racked up 14 runs over the first five innings.

Osmy Gregorio had a game-high four hits and drove in two runs, Jordyn Adams had three hits, Mike Peabody drove in four runs and had two hits and Straton Podaras and Edwin Yon each hit a home run.

Tri-City’s Robinson Pena (2-1) allowed one run on three hits and three walks and struck out four in three innings of relief.

Cole Barr hit a solo home run and reached base three times and Noelvi Marte doubled and scored a run for the AquaSox (5-9).

Everett starter Tim Elliot (0-2) allowed 10 runs on 12 hits over 2.2 innings. He struck out four.
