AquaSox fall to Hops 3-1

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Jake McCarthy tripled, doubled and singled as the Hillsboro Hops topped the Everett AquaSox 3-1 on Thursday.
Everett tied the game 1-1 in the third after Josh Stowers hit an RBI single, bringing home Charlie McConnell.
The Hops grabbed the lead in the sixth inning when Joey Rose hit an RBI single, bringing home L.T. Tolbert.
The Hops tacked on another run in the eighth when Rose hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Tolbert.
Ethan Larrison (6-1) got the win with two innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Everett starter Jheyson Caraballo (4-4) took the loss.
Chester Pimentel retired the side in order for his sixth save of the season.
Hillsboro improved to 4-2 against Everett this season.
