AquaSox rally in 9th, snap losing skid

EVERETT — Dariel Gomez hit a walk-off, two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning and the Everett AquaSox snapped a six-game losing streak with a comeback 4-3 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils on Friday afternoon.

James Parker, Victor Labrada and Charlie Welch each walked to load the bases before Gomez’s game-winning hit.

Bryce Miller started on the mound and was dominant for Everett (4-8). Miller allowed only one hit in six innings and struck out five.

Charlie Welch hit a solo home run, Alberto Rodriguez tripled and Noelvi Marte had a double for the AquaSox offense.

Straton Podaras hit a solo home run for Tri-City (7-5), which was limited to just three hits in the game.
