EVERETT — Three Everett AquaSox homered to back a strong start from Nick Davila in a 4-3 victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils on Thursday night at Funko Field.
Gabriel Gonzalez hit a solo homer in the first inning, James Parker had a solo blast in the second and Hogan Windish tacked on another solo home run in the third. Blake Rambush scored on an error after a leadoff walk and stolen base in the bottom of the seventh for a crucial insurance run for Everett (12-9 second half, 46-41 overall).
Arole Vera had an RBI double in the fourth, Adrian Placencia an RBI groundout in the fifth and Joe Stewart an RBI groundout in the ninth for the Dust Devils (9-12, 43-44).
Davila (1-4) earned his first win after allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits over seven innings. He struck out eight and walked zero. Sam Carlson pitched the ninth for his second save.
Tri-City starter Sammy Natera Jr. (1-6) allowed three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings, striking out nine.
