Everett vs. Seattle lineup notes

Published 6:10 pm Saturday, October 25, 2014

EVERETT (7-1-2-1)

Forward lines

Bajkov-Bauml-Scherbak

Low-Nikolishin-Stadnyk

Millar-Laurencelle-Aasman

Malenica-Fonteyne-Wegleitner

Defensive pairings

Betker-Juulsen

MacDonald-Davis

Skrumeda-Pfeifer

Goaltenders

Lotz

Hart

Scratches: Leedahl, Wharrie, Cochrane

Notes: Everett makes two changes from Friday night’s 3-1 victory over Tri-City. Austin Lotz gets the nod in goal in place of Carter Hart, and winger Nik Malenica comes into the lineup to make his WHL debut. The top three lines and all three defensive pairings remain the same. Winger Dawson Leedahl is out with a long-term knee injury.

SEATTLE (5-5-1-1)

Forward lines

Volcan-Eansor-Neuls

Gropp-Barzal-Hickman

Baltram-True-Kolesar

Pederson/Holowko-Elder-Spencer

Defensive pairings

Hauf-Smith

Ottenbreit-Bear

Allan-Khaira

Goaltenders

Kozun

Flodell

Scratches: Theodore, Wardley, Osterman, Mumaugh, Pederson/Holowko.

Notes: Seattle is without two of its top defensemen as Shea Theodore is still with the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks rehabilitating an elbow injury, while Evan Wardley is serving the sixth game of his seven-game suspension for a checking-to-the-head major penalty. Both wingers Lane Pederson and Nick Holowko will take the warm-up, but just one will play. Seattle is still carrying three goaltenders, so Danny Mumaugh is the odd-man out tonight.
