BRANDON, Manitoba — Ryan Hofer netted a hat trick as the Everett Silvertips continued their road trip through the Eastern Conference with a 6-3 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday.
Hofer and Jackson Berezowski each scored in the opening period as the Silvertips jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
Oren Shtrom pushed the lead to 3-0 with his first goal of the season before goals from Bradnon’s Zakhar Polshakov and Andrei Malyavin cut the lead to 3-2.
Hofer responded with a goal late in the second, another in the third and Austin Roest added an empty-netter to seal the win.
Braden Holt started in goal and stopped 25 of 28 shots for Everett (9-5-0-0).
Carson Bjarnason made eight saves on 11 shots before Nicholas Jones entered and stopped 12 of 14 for Brandon (6-8-1-0).
