HILLSBORO, Ore. — Jacen Roberson hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Hillsboro Hops beat the Everett AquaSox 6-4 on Friday night at Ron Tonkin Field.
The AquaSox trailed 4-1 entering the top of the sixth inning when Hogan Windish hit an RBI single, scoring Alberto Rodriguez. Ben Ramirez followed with an RBI groundout, scoring Tyler Locklear to cut the deficit to 4-3.
Then in the top of the eighth, Windish hit a solo home run, his third of the season, to pull Everett even at 4-4, but Roberson’s blast ended the game and sent the AquaSox to their fifth straight defeat.
Windish finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, Locklear went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Juan Mercedes struck out seven and allowed just one run on three hits in four innings for Everett (1-5).
Roberson finished with three RBI, and D’Orazio went 1-for-2 with three walks and a run scored for Hillsboro (6-1).
