BERKELEY, Calif. — Danielle Orsillo scored 20 points and hit the game-winning jumper with .5-seconds to play, leading Arizona State to a 63-61 victory over California on Saturday.
Janae Fulcher came off the bench to score 12 points for ASU, which snapped Cal’s five-game winning streak.
Gennifer Brandon scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Cal.
ASU trailed 59-49 with 4:30 remaining before making a furious comeback. Tenaya Watson tied the score 61-61 with two more free throws with 1:11 to go.
With time winding down, Kali Bennett missed inside, causing a mad scramble that resulted in a jump ball with 3.6 seconds to play and the possession arrow in ASU’s favor. The Sun Devils inbounded to Orsillo, who broke free along the right base line and made a 10-foot shot.
Oregon 85, USC 77
LOS ANGELES — Taylor Lilley scored 36 points, including a school-record nine 3-pointers, to help the Ducks beat the Trojans.
The victory helped end a five-game skid for Oregon and snapped USC’s five-game winning streak, knocking the Trojans into a second place tie with UCLA.
Lilley’s nine 3-pointers tied the conference record set by Stanford’s Lindsey Yamasaki in 2001.
Stanford 83, Arizona 62
STANFORD, Calif. — Nnemkadi Ogwumike scored eight of her 27 points during a 10-0 run to open the second half and the Cardinal overcame a second straight halftime deficit to beat the Wildcats.
Kayla Pedersen added 27 points and 13 rebounds for Stanford, which won its 40th straight home game.
UCLA 70, Oregon State 44
LOS ANGELES — Markel Walker collected 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bruins over the Beavers.
UCLA took control during the last 10:22 of the first half, outscoring the Beavers 22-4.
