SHORELINE — Jeremy Perrault allowed one run over five innings on the mound and went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run at the plate for the Hawks (5-8, 4-4). Calan Sporn’s base-loaded sacrifice fly in the bottom of the pulled Shorewood (10-4, 6-2) within a run, but Terrace pitcher Layton Rongholt held on for the save as the Stormrays hit into game-ending double play.

Shorecrest 2, Edmonds-Woodway 1

EDMONDS — Shorecrest starting pitcher David Telling won a pitcher’s duel, limiting the Warriors to one run on two hits while striking out three and walking one to hand first-place E-W its first league loss. Hudson Ekstrom pitched the final inning for the save. Finn Crawford threw a complete game for the Warriors (8-5 overall, 5-1 league). He scattered seven hits and allowed two unearned runs while matching Telling with three strikeouts and a walk. Gavin Leptich had two hits to lead the Scots (9-4, 4-2).

Stanwood 9, Everett 1

EVERETT — TJ McQuery went the distance for Stanwood (11-1, 5-0), working around five hits and five walks to hold the Seagulls to one run. Skyler McLain (double, triple, walk four RBI, two runs) and Tanner Requa (single, triple, three RBI, run) delivered much of the offensive damage against Everett. Andreas Gutierrez doubled, walked and stole a base for the Seagulls (5-8, 4-1).

ARLINGTON — Drew Pepin struck out eight during a complete game six-hitter as Jackson improved to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in league. The Timberwolves used eight walks — two each by Ashton Bergman and Gavin Duckart — and three Arlington errors to make the most of five hits. No. 8 batter was the only Eagle to solve Pepin, going 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Arlington fell to 6-5, 2-3.
