Opening round (loser out)

At Phil Johnson Ballfields

Everett 12, Arlington 10

EVERETT — Shayne Hoekendorf went 3-for-5 with a home run, triple and five RBI as ninth-seeded Everett advanced to the quarterfinals of the 3A District 1 Tournament with a loser-out win over No. 8 Arlington.

Madeline Pewitt finished 2-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBI, Isa Davis went 2-for-3 with a double and Samantha Stine doubled and drove in two runs for Everett (11-10), which advanced to face top-seed Snohomish in a non-elimination game at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Phil Johnson Ballfields.

Ainsley Kahler slugged three home runs and drove in five runs, and Naomi Peterson, Emmaly Morris and Camryn Zodrow each had two hits foe Arlington, which finished its season with an overall record of 11-10.

Marysville Getchell 11, Edmonds-Woodway 9

EVERETT — Hannah Worth went 2-for-4 with a home run and sixth-seeded Marysville Getchell scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull ahead and held on for a win over No. 11 Edmonds-Woodway in an opening round loser-out game in the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Summer DuBeau finished 3-for-4 with a triple, Emme Witter went 3-f0r-4 with two doubles and Hayden Kranz went 3-for-4 with a double for Marysville Getchell (12-8), which advanced to face No. 3 Mountlake Terrace in the non-elimination quarterfinals at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Phil Johnson Ballfields.

Maggie Duffy and Cameron Siecke each had triples, Taylor Pastega and Neva Cheeney added doubles, and Ella Campbell had three hits for Edmonds-Woodway, which finished its season with an overall record of 11-9.

Shorewood 8, Oak Harbor 1

EVERETT — Seventh-seeded Shorewood beat No. 10 Oak Harbor in an opening round loser-out game in the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Shorewood (12-8) advanced to face No. 2 Cascade in a non-elimination quarterfinal game at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Phil Johnson Ballfields.

Oak Harbor finished its season with an overall record of 10-11.

Stanwood 11, Meadowdale 3

EVERETT — Twelfth-seeded Stanwood beat No. 5 Meadowdale in an opening round loser-out game in the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Stanwood (10-11) advanced to face No. 4 Mount Vernon in a non-elimination quarterfinal game at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Phil Johnson Ballfields.

Meadowdale finished its season with an overall record of 11-10.
