Marysville Getchell 67, Mount Vernon 54
MARYSVILLE — The fifth-seeded Chargers earned a comfortable win over the visiting No. 12 Bulldogs thanks to a strong scoring duo. Senior and all-time leading scorer Bubba Palacol poured in a game-high 26 points while senior Wyatt Harris scored 22 points in the winning effort. Senior Baron Dorsey Brown scored 21 points on seven 3s for Mount Vernon (10-11). Marysville-Getchell improved to 15-7 overall with the win and will face No. 4 Shorewood in the tournament quarterfinal on Saturday evening.
Snohomish 49, Mountlake Terrace 43
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The No. 10-seeded Panthers took down a Wesco foe in the No. 7 Hawks to open district playoff competition. The win moves Snohomish to 8-14 on the season as they prepare to play a Wesco powerhouse in No. 2 Shorecrest in the tournament quarterfinal on Saturday night. Mountlake Terrace closes the season at 11-11 with the loss.

Sedro-Woolley 64, Everett 60
SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Senior Noah Parker’s game-high 26 points weren’t enough to push the No. 11 Seagulls past the No. 6 Cubs as Everett’s season came to an end at 9-13 on Thursday night. Junior Ethan DeJong scored a team-high 23 points for Sedro-Woolley (12-6).
Ferndale 59, Meadowdale 44
FERNDALE — Ninth-seeded Meadowdale couldn’t keep up with eighth-seeded Ferndale on the road as their season concluded at 10-12.

Lakewood 80, Archbishop Murphy 42
ARLINGTON — The No. 2 Cougars dispatched the No. 7 Wildcats by nearly doubling their scoring output in the opening round. The win moves the Cougars to 16-6 overall and sets up a semifinal matchup with third-seeded Burlington-Edison on Saturday night at Mount Vernon High School. Archbishop Murphy (8-12) will face No. 6 Bellingham on the road on Saturday night, now needing four straight wins to advance to state.
