EDMONDS — Joey Rees hit a game-winning single for the Warriors with the bases loaded and the game tied at 7 in the bottom of the seventh inning as E-W beat the Mavs in a nonleague game. Edmonds-Woodway entered the bottom of the seventh down 7-5 but a Bryce Mezich single and a couple of walks loaded the bases. An overthrow to first on a ground ball let two runners score to tie it up and set up Rees’ hit. The Warriors had a 5-2 lead earlier in the game, but Meadowdale sophomore Garrett Walsh tied it up with a three-run home run in his first high school at bat.
