EVERETT — Alberto Rodriguez grounded a two-out, walk-off single to left field to score Noelvi Marte and the Everett AquaSox beat the Spokane Indians 7-6 on Saturday evening at Funko Field.

With one out in the bottom of the ninth and the game tied 6-6, Marte singled to left. Spencer Packard followed with a single to right as Marte advanced to second base and then to third on a flyout to right by Justin Lavey. Rodriguez then hit the first pitch he saw for the game-winner.

Lavey hit a two-run home run in the first inning as the AquaSox jumped out to a 2-0 lead. After spokane plated four runs in the top of the second, Victor Labrada hit a solo home run in the bottom of the inning to pull Everett to within one at 4-3.

Spokane added a run in the top of the third, but the AquaSox responded with two run in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 5-5.

Everett took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Packard doubled home Myles Miller to make it 6-5. Spokane tied it back up in the sixth and the game stayed knotted until the bottom of the ninth.

Packard finished 3-for-4 with two RBI to raise his batting average on the season to .299.
