Seattle Junior offering “Try Hockey for Free” day

The Mountlake Terrace-based organization’s event is Saturday at Olympicview Ice Arena.

The Mountlake Terrace-based Seattle Junior Hockey Association is giving kids a chance to try hockey for free.

SJHA’s “Try Hockey for Free” day is Saturday morning at Olympicview Ice Arena. The youth hockey organization will have instructors on hand to fit children in gear and coach players in the basic skills of hockey. Skates and a limited amount of equipment are available to be borrowed.

The session goes from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Participants are asked to arrive 30-60 minutes early for check-in and to get fitted with equipment.
