Silvana Bulls win Little League Tournament of Champions

The Silvana Bulls major-division baseball team won the District 1 Tournament of Champions on June 13 at Lynndale Park in Lynnwood. It marked the second year in a row a team from Marysville Little League won the tourney, following the Dick’s Towing squad in 2015.
The Bulls, a team made up of players ages 10-12, finished the regular season with a 16-3 record, placing second out of 20 District 1 North teams. In the Tournament of Champions, the Bulls beat teams from Sky Valley, Mill Creek, Alderwood, Stanwood and, in the championship game, Mukilteo. Silvana outscored those five opponents by a combined score of 53-8.
Team members include Bradley Aasen, Ethan Alberts, Noah Faber, Kevin Faulkner, Royce Hale, Carson Heller, Brad Johnson, Mason Koontz, Trevor Loucks, Deuce Turner II, Zakary Wagner and Julian Wilson. The manager is Curtis Johnson and the coaches are Joel Faber and Brett Alberts.

FC Alliance wins State Cup
The FC Alliance Boys U-13 A team, which includes players from Snohomish, Everett, Kirkland and Redmond, won the State Cup on May 1 at Starfire Sports Stadium in Tukwila.
FC Alliance defeated Seattle United in the championship game. The contest was tied 0-0 after regulation and overtime, and was decided on penalty kicks, which FC Alliance won 5-4.
“This was a moment that we trained and prepared for several years together,” FC Alliance head coach Hugo Alcaraz said in a press release.
FC Alliance posted a 3-1 record in the preliminary round of the State Cup, then defeated Crossfire Premier 1-0 in the semifinals.
The FC Alliance roster includes Pedro Millan, Jeremy Supinski, Noble Simms, Ethan Thomas, Josh Vora, Mark Dormoh, Ashton Fossati, River Stewart, Kole Lerwick, Oliver Giessler, Rikky Falagan, Noe Guzman, Trent Grotle, Ben Freeman, Jordan Kim, Lucas Hakamada, Alan Guzman, Jaden Cantu, Francisco Ramirez and Jesus Cirrilo.
Coach Alcaraz is assisted by Santa Maria Rivera, Jeremy Supinski and Rikky Falagan.
With the win, FC Alliance earned the right to play in the regional championships, which began Monday in Boise, Idaho.
