SEATTLE — Senior Sami Whitcomb scored 15 points in the final 3:42, including the game-winning 3-pointer with two seconds left, as the University of Washington women’s basketball team knocked off BYU 67-66 on Wednesday night.
It was the second time in as many games this season that the Huskies (1-1) saw a result come down to the final seconds.
Whitcomb’s game-winner gave the Huskies their first lead of the second half.
Whitcomb finished with 25 points. Monroe native Sarah Morton added a career-high 12 points.
